With our new Outlook Integration tracking emails is simple! To track emails using our Outlook Integration your system does need to be updated to our Essentials Platform. For more information on upgrading and system requirements please talk with your system administrator or email email@example.com.
There are a few different ways that you track an email with the Outlook Integration:
1. Send an email directly through Followup: In each file you will see a new area below the client information area called: Office 365 Email
Click on Compose Email
When you click on Compose Email it will initiate an email to the email address listed under the contact in the job information area at the top left of the file.
From here you can add additional email recipients in the To area, you can CC people, add a subject and add an attachment, if you'd like. When you're ready to send the email hit Submit.
Once you have submitted and refreshed, you will see the email sent listed on the left in the Office 365 Email area. It will also be listed in the Project Comments and in your Outlook sent box.
2. Send an email by clicking on the email button next to the contacts email address in the Job Information area.
Clicking the email button will automatically initiate your systems default email (which would need to be set as Outlook). You will see in the subject: (Project Name - Plus Bid ID #) i.e. (Test Project10 - 2414) This is what tracks the email. You can add to the subject line, but do not delete this from the subject line if you would like the email to be tracked.
3. Send an email directly from your Outlook:
Open your Outlook and compose a new email. Choose your recipient and add the (Project Name - Plus Bid ID #) to the subject line to track the email. Add your email content and send.
All emails sent and/or received using the Followup CRM email integration can be found in Followup in the Office 365 Email area of the file and in your Outlook Inbox or Sent Box. If you have a conversation that you no longer want to track simply remove the (Project Name - Plus Bid ID #) from the email subject line.
