How to Map Modules in Sage Intacct

Learn how to connect, configure, and map your Sage Intacct modules to FollowUp CRM for seamless data syncing.

 

⚙️ Step 1: Access the Module Mapping Settings

  1. Go to your Settings menu.

  2. From the dropdown, select the Sage Intacct connection you wish to edit.

  3. Once selected, your Sage Intacct modules will automatically load.

🖥️ Tip: The system fetches and displays all available modules for mapping.



🔗 Step 2: Review Available Modules

  • You’ll see your FollowUp CRM modules listed on one side and your Sage Intacct modules on the other.

  • Use the toggle buttons to enable or disable specific modules.

  • You can also import existing customers and projects using the import buttons at the top.

🗑️ Delete or ➕ Add New Mapping as needed for unmapped modules.


🔁 Step 3: Understand Sync Directions

Each field mapping includes direction arrows:

  • 🔄 Two-way sync: Data flows both ways (FollowUp ↔️ Sage Intacct).

  • ⬅️ One-way from Intacct: Data syncs only from Sage Intacct.

  • ➡️ One-way from FollowUp: Data syncs only from FollowUp CRM.

You can change the direction globally or individually per field.


🧱 Step 4: Add a New Mapping

  1. Click Add Mapping.

  2. Choose a FollowUp module (e.g., Projects).

  3. Choose the corresponding Sage Intacct module.

  4. Click Open Mapped Fields to view and edit field-level mappings.


🧭 Step 5: Map Required Fields

At the bottom of the Mapped Fields window, you’ll see a note listing Sage Intacct’s required fields. These must be filled for the integration to work correctly.

For example:

  • Project Name → Required

  • Project Category → Required

🧩 Map these to their corresponding FollowUp CRM fields.

⚠️ Required fields are grayed out and cannot be deleted but can be adjusted for direction or re-mapped to a different FollowUp field.


🎛️ Step 6: Map Dropdown Fields

If your required field is a dropdown (e.g., Project Category):

  1. Select a dropdown field from FollowUp CRM.

  2. Click the green button to open dropdown options.

  3. Match each FollowUp dropdown option with its corresponding Sage Intacct value.

  4. Click Save to store your mappings.

Tip: Make sure FollowUp has matching dropdown values for accurate syncing.



💾 Step 7: Save and Apply Mappings

  • Once mappings are configured, click Add to save.

  • Close the window — your settings will auto-save.

  • Repeat this process for all other modules you wish to map.
