How to Create a Preset Permission Set

In this article, I will show you how to manage security roles and permission sets in the company settings area to customize user permissions based on your team's needs.

Access the People Tab: Navigate to the People tab within the company settings area to find the new section for permission sets.

View Pre-loaded Security Roles: When you first access the permission sets section, you will see all of the pre-loaded security roles that have already existed in the system. These roles are set by default and can be edited or customized according to your team's preferences.

The pre-loaded security roles are now editable and can be updated based on your team’s specific needs. You can also delete existing roles or create new ones as required.

Important: Note that the System Admin role cannot be deleted or edited. This role grants full permissions for every part of the system.

Edit a Security Role: To edit a role, click the pencil icon next to the desired security role.

This will open the option to update the name and permissions within that role.

Create a New Role: To create a new role, click the "Create" button at the top of the page.

Enter a unique name for the role and configure the permissions according to your preferences.

Adjust Permissions: You can adjust the permissions by selecting the appropriate settings for your team’s needs. After making the necessary adjustments, click "Create" to save the new permission set.

You will then see the total number of permissions enabled within that role.

Delete a Role: If you want to delete a role, you can do so by selecting the delete option.

Any users assigned to the deleted role will have their permission set reverted to custom.

Full Control Over Permissions: This system now allows full control over the permissions for each user, letting you manipulate both preexisting and newly created security roles to match your team's specific needs.
